We have moved once again. This makes our ninth residence in 8 years of marriage. I hope we never move again.
We had to downsize from the house in Mapleton. It was too much house and way too much mortgage. The bright side is that with the proceeds from the house we were able to pay off our student loans. Now we have one manageable debt to our names. We’re very happy about that.
We’re also glad to be back in Provo. We really enjoy the benefits of being close to work. Since we had to give up our lovely abode in Mapleton we thought we might as well get something out of it. So we aimed for a good location and got it. We’re just 9 blocks south of campus. I can walk to work in 30 minutes but also have a bus pass. I plan on buying a scooter for the ‘commute’.
We were really sad to leave Mapleton. We loved it there. Our neighbors and the neighborhood were wonderful. We loved the house and will miss all the extra space. I won’t miss mowing 1/3 acre. I’m looking forward to mowing the .13 acres we have now.
