I have felt more grateful than ever this year to be able to live in this country. Our founders set up a nation designed to protect our ‘inalienable rights’. We are privileged to live in a country that recognizes that the people’s rights come from their ‘Creator’ and not from the government. Few people on the earth have enjoyed living under such a constitution. When you vote today, vote to sustain those who respect this principle and our constitution, which is the embodiment of it.
I ran into a bug with Internet Explorer today (no surprise). Not only that, there were different bugs for IE 6 and IE 7. I banged my head on the browsers for a while. When I was at a complete loss I said a little prayer asking for help and then read my rss feeds for a little while. When I came back to the problem, I typed a few lines of code made a few tweaks and voila, problem solved. I feel sorry for web developers who don’t pray. Internet Explorer is too much of a monster to not seek the help of a higher power (and I don’t mean Starbucks).
My friend home-schools his children but teaches at a public school. This is what he told me last night:
“The longer I’m there [public school], the less I want my kids in public school.â€
