Creativity is hard to come by. That’s why I always keep my ear close to the ground for ways to boost creativity. The other day I found this little gem in the article Get Out from Behind the Curtain at A List Apart:

Provide enough materials to create a sense of plenty. If participants perceive a lack of materials, they may tend to censor themselves, only using the paper for their “best” ideas.

In a group or by yourself, make sure you have more than you need. This will create an environment where many ideas can get root and flourish.
