Lili loves to make things. It would be fun to make our own version of these:

I promised a review of the Authentic Jobs site once we hired a web designer. Well, we have completed the hiring process and are very glad to have Nic Johnson aboard.
Unfortunately, I don’t have enough information to write a good review of Authentic Jobs. Of the 35 applicants for the position, only a couple came through Authentic Jobs. That is not a fault of Authentic Jobs. Authentic Jobs brought us applicants from around the country and the world – that is a testament to Authentic Jobs broad reach. I think the root of our inability to draw talent lay in the compensation we provide. A privately funded, religious university is limited in the salary it can provide it’s interaction designers. Also, Nic did not find the job on Authentic Jobs – he was referred to us through another employee. Linkedin and Facebook ending up being crucial tools to our hiring process. Conclusion,
As for the Authentic Jobs tool itself, the registration/job listing process was perfectly painless. The forms were well thought out and worked smoothly. And I was glad to be able to point potential candidates at the Authentic Jobs site to get them oriented to the position instead of having to send them through our initial HR monster interface. The HR interface is the only way to apply for on-campus jobs ultimately, but at least I could get basic info out to the well-qualified masses without the overhead of HR’s cumbersome site.
I would use Authentic Jobs again. We got good exposure to qualified candidates without a massive campaign. I hope next time to be able to make a better offer but I won’t hold my breath.
